Considerazioni sulle occorrenze del termine Galatai nel Corpus Aristotelicum
Abstract
Abstract
The dies agonales were four specific days marked on the calendar. According to Varron, on these days the rex sacrificed a ram in the Regia, but he does not specify the divinity and meaning of the ceremony. This article suggests that Jupiter was the recipient of the sacrifice and that it was intended to ensure the protection of the city and agricultural abundance.
