Dino Gavinelli is full professor of Geography at the University of Milan where he teaches Urban and Regional Geography, Cultural Geography and Tourism Geography. He is currently Dean of the School of Sciences of the Language and Cultural Mediation and Deputy Head of the Department of Studies in Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication at the University of Milan. He has been Visiting Professor at the University Paris VII Denis Diderot and Paris X Nanterre. His researches are oriented on various geographical themes, on different scales: rural areas; regional organization; urban studies; tourism and protected areas; geography education; cultural geography.
