Le promesse del vincitore. Vendetta e libertà nella spedizione asiatica di Filippo II e Alessandro Magno

Giuseppe Squillace

Abstract

Philip II and Alexander the Great justified and accompanied their expedition against the Persians through the themes of revenge and freedom. These topics, because they conflict with the Realpolitik of the two kings, can be considered as propaganda.

Keywords

Alessandro Magno; Filippo II; libertà; Persiani; propaganda; vendetta – Alexander the Great; freedom; Persians; Philip II; propaganda; revenge.
