Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
Works submitted to the Journal should be original. The submission has not been published elsewhere, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
Unless otherwise indicated in a call for papers, submissions should be no longer than 50.000 characters including spaces (equivalent to 25 pages of approximately 2.000 characters per page; this includes abstract, quotations, references, footnotes, tables, figures and graphs).
An Abstract (not longer than 180 words) should also be supplied.
10 keywords should also be supplied.
If the title contains fifty or more characters, a shortened version should be submitted to be used as running head.
Check that all the Author Guidelines have been followed carefully.
Check that the text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Guidelines.
Misprints should be eliminated. It is expected that authors submit proofread material. Papers should be submitted in their final version.- Check that the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
Attention! Personal data with affiliation and a short bio (up to 100 words) should be submitted ONLY in the “Author Profile” (“Bio statement” ). All submissions should be sent Microsoft Word document file format, using “unicode” font. (E.g. Times New Roman Unicode).
Check that all required supplementary files have been prepared (Use section Uploading Supplementary Files - Step 4 of the procedure):
- A PDF file generated from the final Word file
- Authors’ Statement form (completed and duly signed)
- All figures in the original electronic format (300 dpi .TIF, .JPG, .EPS or .XLS).
- Check that all materials and figures that require permission for publication have been identified and publication permissions can be provided.
- Check that files exceeding 22 MB have been divided into two or more files.
Copyright Notice
The files included in Elementa are freely available: no registration or subscription required to read, print, download or share the full-text of articles.
For Authors:
The Journal does not require the transfer of copyright, which means that authors retain all rights to the content of their texts.
The Authors authorize the Publisher to issue their articles under a Creative Commons “Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND)” license.
The editorial format and the graphical layout of the texts published in print and/or online in Elementa remain the exclusive property of the Publisher.
It is consequently forbidden, also in order not to damage the journal statistics, to upload the final published files to commercial websites, or such academic social network sites as Academia, Research Gate and the like, where the DOI code and/or the link to the issue homepage should instead be included.
Self-archiving:
Authors may self-archive the post-print (ie the final draft post-refereeing) and the final published files in officially recognized institutional repositories, established and operated by universities and governments.
For Readers:
The works included in the Journal are licensed under a Creative Commons “Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND)” license.
The Journal provides immediate open access to its content. Nevertheless, you may not use the material for commercial purposes or in commercial websites.
Any reference to material included in Elementa must include the citation of the author and the source.
Privacy Statement
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
